OSI MODEL
❖ OSI ka poora naam Open System Interconnection hai. Yeh modelNetwork mein communication ke liye banaya gaya hai. Yeh ek
prakar ka reference model hai. Jise 1984 mein develop kiya gaya
tha. ISI real life mein exist nahi karta hai. Iske aadhar par bane hua
TCP/IP model prayog kiye jate hai. Kisi Network mein data ya
suchnao ko send karna tatha receive karna TCP/IP ka kary hai. Is
model mein 7 Layer hoti hai jo aapas mein judi hoti hai. Yeh data ka
transmission karti hai.
❖ OSI model mein 7 Layer hoti hai.

❖ Layer one Physical Layer :- OSI model mein physical layer sabse
first layer hai. Is layer ko Bit Unit bhi kaha jata hai. Yeh layer
physical tatha electrical connection ke liye responsible hoti hai.
Jaise voltage data , Red data etc. Is layer mein digital signal
Electrical signal mein badle jate hai. Physical layer yeh bhi describe
karti hai ki communication wireless hoga ya wired hoga.
❖ Data Link Layer:- Data link unit ko Frame unit layer bhi kaha jata
hai. Is layer mein network layer dwara bheje gaye data ko packet
ko ‘D’ code tatha ‘In’ code kiya jata hai. Is layer mein transmission
ke liye do protocol hote hai. (1) HDLL-High Level Data Link Control
(2) PPP – Point to Point Protocol
❖ Network Layer:- Network Layer OSI model ki third layer hai is layer
ko Packet Unit bhi kaha jata hai. Is layer mein switching tathaRouting technique ka prayog kiya jata hai. Iska kary IP address
provide karna hai. Source Address se destination address par data
pahuchane ka kaam network layer ka hota hai.
❖ Transport Layer:-Transport Layer OSI model ki 4th layer hai iseSegment Layer Unit bhi kaha jata hai. Yeh Layer data ke transfer ke
liye responsible hoti hai. Data order mein bhejne ka kaam
transport layer ka hota hai. Transport layer do tarah se
communication karti hai. (a) Connection less (b) Connection
oriented
❖ Sesson Layer:- Sesson layer OSI model ki 5th layer hai. Sesson layer
ka mukhy kary yeh pata karna hota hai ki connection terminate
hua hai ya nahi. Yeh layer stablish ka kary karti hai.
❖ Presentation Layer:-Data ke liye inscription ka kary karti hai.
Presentation layer mein data ko he decrypt kiya jata hai. Ise data
compression ke liye bhi prayog karte hai.
❖ Application Layer:- OSI ka last layer hoti hai Application layer ka
mukhya kary Interface ko provide karwana hota hai. Application
layer user ke sabse nazdik ki layer hoti hai. Application layer yeh
control karti hai ki koi bhi Application kis prakar Network ko
Access karti hai.
